5/2/24 7629736 INVITATION TO BID The South Windsor Housing Authority will receive sealed bids on or before 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the office of South Windsor Housing Authority located at, 50 Elm Street, South Windsor, CT and said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter.
Bids will be received for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, services and equipment necessary to complete the "FIRE ALARM AT FLAX HILL APARTMENTS" 30 Foster street, South Windsor, CT.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for 100% Performance and Payment Bond or Bonds, in the forms included in the Specifications.
Proposed forms of Contract Documents, including Plans and Specifications dated March 20, 2024, as prepared by Quisenberry Arcari Architects, LLC will be on file and available to contractors as or May 1, 2024.

Note: Addenda to this bid will be issued via email. Contractors intending to bid must be registered on the Advanced Reprographics Planholder's list in order to receive direct email of any and all addenda.
A non-mandatory pre-bid walkthrough will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. All interested parties are to meet at the Flax Hill Apartments Community Building, 30 Foster Street, South Windsor, CT. Attendance is strongly recommended.
A satisfactory Bid Bond or Certified Check, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Bid Bond shall be made payable to "South Windsor Housing Authority' and shall be properly executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties. All bonds must be from sureties listed on the most recent IRS Circular 570.
Complete bidding requirements are noted in the Contract Documents.
The South Windsor Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 90 days subsequent to the opening ofbids without the consent of the South Windsor Housing Authority.

(25% of the total state-funded value with DAS-certified Small Businesses and 6.25% of the total state-funded value with DAS-certified Minority-, Women-, and/or Disabled-owned Businesses.) The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals.
